How to get Australia Student Visa

To apply for an Australian study visa (Subclass 500), you must first secure a course offer from an Australian education provider and receive a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Next, create an ImmiAccount, complete the online visa application, and upload required documents, including proof of your Genuine Student (GS) status, financial capacity, English proficiency, and health cover (OSHC). Pay the visa fee, undergo a health examination and provide biometrics if required, and then wait for the visa decision.

 


1. Secure a course and get your CoE

Apply to an Australian institution:

Apply to an Australian education or training provider and accept their offer letter. 

Get your electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE):

Once you accept the offer and pay fees, the institution will send you an eCoE, which is essential for your visa application. 

2. Gather Required Documents

You'll need to provide evidence of:

English language proficiency: Such as IELTS scores. 

Financial capacity: Proof you can cover tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs. 

Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Mandatory health insurance for students in Australia. 

Genuine Student (GS) criteria: Evidence demonstrating your intention to study in Australia and then return to your home country. 

Academic and work experience documents: Transcripts, certificates, and diplomas. 

Character documents: Such as police clearance certificates. 

A valid passport and photos . 

3. Apply for the Visa Online 

Create an ImmiAccount: Register an account on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website. 

Complete the application: Fill out the online application for the Student Visa (Subclass 500). 

Upload documents: Upload scanned copies of all required documents. 

Pay the visa fee: Pay the application charge online through your ImmiAccount. 

4. Undertake Health and Biometrics 

Health examination: Undergo a health examination by an approved panel doctor.

Biometrics: Provide your fingerprints and a photograph at an Australian Visa Application Centre (AVAC) in Pakistan if required for your nationality.

5. Await Your Visa Decision 

Check processing times: Check the Department of Home Affairs website for current processing times for your visa.

Receive notification: You will be notified of the decision via your ImmiAccount.
